When it comes to travelling around the city it can often be a bit of a challenge. Indeed, it’s entirely possible that you’ll find yourself potentially stuck in traffic for hours, or sometimes standing up for hours waiting for public transport to finally come. It’s probably one of the least fun experiences you can have while being out and about. There’s some good news though; by studying some of the most successful mass transit solutions in the world, we can improve our cities and make it easier to move around.
So who’s got it all figured out? Singapore is one of the best candidates. Indeed, Singapore is considered to have one of the most effective public transport systems in the entire world! We can take lessons learned from them and apply it to the likes of Sydney, Melbourne and any major Australian city if the motivation is there. Let’s take a look at the background of both Sydney and Singapore to get a bit of context as to how they developed the way they did.
